Never saw the series in its original form, only the widescreen set. The widescreen orange box set looks better on my PS3 than this one. I have a 40" Samson LCD. Basically what you get is the series in its original form with your choice of english or Japanese spoken language, don't know about the captions and you do not get the english dub in the opening and closing credits.
