While this film of course has its share of silly, slapstick comedy a child may enjoy; the theme itself has a 1950s Bogart quality to it. You can throw in this movie and Casablanca and see where I'm going at. I enjoyed the movie not just as a beautifully animated feature, but a wonderful story that could be retold as an Oscar-worthy live action feature film. I would highly recommend this to fans of Studio Ghibli, Bogart classics, romance, action, and suspense.Get more detail about Porco Rosso.
